These 19th century accoutrements are in exceptionally good and complete condition. The pouch belt is of gold lace of regimental shamrock pattern on red cloth, the foliate design buckle and slider are of gilt metal, the foliate and crowned VR cypher terminal is similarly gilded. The pouch is of red moroccan faced with red cloth embroidered in gold and silver bullion wire with the Royal Crest, Harp and Maid, the regimental motto and eight battle honour scrolls. The fittings are of gilt metal. The sabretache is edged in gold shamrock lace enclosing a bullion embroidered Guelphic crown, motto scroll, VR cypher, the Royal Crest, Harp and Maid, over eight battle honours – ‘Leswarree’, ‘Hindoostan’, ‘Alma’, ‘Balaclava’, ‘Inkerman’, ‘Sevastopol’, ‘Central India’ and ‘Afghanistan’. The reverse and bag are in red moroccan, as are the foul weather, velvet lined, covers;  the slings, complete with gilt lion mask buckles covered with regimental lace, and connect to the sabretache’s three ‘D’ rings.
