Silver engine turned with slide opening mechanism, the hinged front applied with regimental badge in gold. The interior inscribed ‘Presented / To / Capt. L.R. swift / By /The Officers / Skinner’s Horse / Dec 1929’  Captain Swifte. Maker’s mark of J.C. Vickery, Regent, London. Hallmarked Chester 1928. Major L.R. Swifte served with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.
