Silver and enamel. Rectangular panels with chamfered corners and chain link connections, alnate;y set with the Prince of Wales’s feathers and motto ‘Ich Dien’ (I serve) and the ‘E’ cypher of Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII and Duke of Windsor (1894-1972)) encircled by the Garter and motto ‘Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense’ (May he be shamed who thinks badly of it) in blue enamel. Maker’s mark of the Crown Jeweller Garrard & Co., Ltd., 24 Albermarle Street, London W. Contained in the original burgundy  morocco case, the lid gilt embossed with the Prince of Wales’s feathers.
