A Regency Bronze Eagle Mount

Circa 1810

Measurements: Width: 26.5cm (10.5in)



In the form of a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, adorning a spread eagle looking to dexter, and entwined with a scroll. Probably designed as a furniture mount the present eagle bears the  engraved inscription to the reverse than ensured the producer copyright for a period of fourteen years from the date of publications, viz: -  'Pub'd as the act directs by T Burton & Co, No 60 Great Russell St, Bloomsbury, London, Sept 14 1810'.)
