Silver coffee can decorated with foliate and entwined ribbon borders, gilded interior, engraved in the centre with a crest possibly relating to the Hope family and bearing the motto ‘ORBE FRACTO SPES ILLAESA’. Maker’s mark of C.M. Granger. Granger was registered (1811) at 16 Rue Harley du Palais
