Silver on copper biscuit barrel , the body decorated with a low relief depiction of the Charge of the Light Cavalry Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava on 25 October 1854, the stepped, hinged lid surmounted with a siege mortar of the type delpoyed in the trenches before the Russiian fortress of Sebastopol.
