The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers received its Charter from King Charles II in 1677. Arms : Azure, a chevron between three coaches Or. Crest: On a wreath of the colours, Phoebus in his glory sitting in a chariot Or drawn. through a cloud proper by four horses argent, reined and bridled Or. Supporters: On either side a horse argent, bridled and harnessed •sable, the harness studded Or garnished gules, and housed azure with fringe and purfiing Or, adorned with plumes of feathers Or, azure, argent and gules. Motto: Surgit post nubila Phoebus (The Sun Rises After The Clouds).
