Crimean War Memorial Mantel Obelisk, 1856

Measurements: Height: 22.5cm (8.75in)



Glazed porcelain with gilt decoration. In the form of a memorial obelisk inscribed; ‘To / The / Fallen / Brave’ with square form base further inscribed with names of the principal Crimean battles ‘Sebastopol / Alma / Balaclava / Inkerman’. The interior marked with maker’s details ‘Published by / Lockett Baguley / & Cooper / Shelton Staffs / June 25th 1858’
