A tribute to the achievements of Admiral Lord Nelson in the form a design for a monument to Lord Nelson, comprising a triumphal arch set centrally with a profile bust roundel of the naval hero, after de Koster; the arch flanked by two pilaster. the first with a figure of Neptune at base and hung with escutcheons recording Nelson’s victories; the second  with the figure of Athena, the shrewd companion of heroes and patron goddess of heroic endeavor at base, hung with escutcheons recording Nelson’s rewards; at the centre a monument featuring a full length figure of Nelson with the female figures of Victory and Britannia at his feet, the contained by a ring fence of upturned canon; in base, Nelson’s armorial achievement set between strn views of the French and Spanish flagships L‘orient and San Joseph. Published by G. Ballisat, 1 March 1810. Sheet size 47.6 cm (18.75in) x 31.7cm (12.5in).
