Gold and Miniature uniface gold token (9mm diameter) portrait of Arthur, 1st Duke of Wellington, K.G. (1769-1852) in profile, contained in a turned two-piece ivory case. The exterior of the lid etched with the A.W. cypher beneath a ducal coronet; the interior of the lid applied with the trade label of P.G. Dodd, 79 Cornhill, London. Dodd was a City jeweller and silversmith and an exhibitor at the Great Exhibition of 1851.
