This figure was first introduced in 1912, and imported from Germany by Mayfair retailer Thomas Goode & Co in order to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. It bears the applied grey ceramic label to the underside, viz: ‘To / commemorate / the centenary / of / Waterloo 1815-1915 / T. Goode & Co / London / 1915 / Registered.’
