Ex: Sir Kenneth Blackburne, G.C.M.G., G.B.E. (1907-1980)

Silver. An Edwardian inkstand of rectangular form with ‘c’ scroll border, fitted with a pair of cut glass wells each mounted with a hinged silver lid, either side of an oval central compartment with hinged lid engraved with the coronet and ‘M’ cypher of the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret (1930-2002). Maker’s mark Stokes & Ireland Ltd. Hallmarked London 1905.

The present inkstand was the personal gift of Princess Margaret to to the Governor of the Leeward Islands and was presented to him during her tour of Antigua in 1955.
