Gilt metal interlaced and reversed cypher of George V on a red guilloche enamel ground encircled the Garter bearing the motto ‘Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense’ (May he be shamed who thinks badly of it) in gilt metal over blue enamel and surmounted by the Tudor Crown. Cased.

As worn on the white tropical helmet in review order and khaki service dress helmet in hot climates instead of the bearskin. While Household troops were not posted abroad for garrison duty in India, individual officers did serve in on the subcontinent and in Africa as A.D.Cs, in staff appointments and on special service.
