An oil on canvas Victorian copy of  Franz Xaver Winterhalter’s portrait of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (1819-1861) in the uniform of Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifle Brigade. A replica painting by Winterhalter of his original in the Royal Collection was presented to the National Portrait Gallery by Queen Victoria in 1867.
