Silver. Rectangular form with hinged lid engraved with the Colours of the regiment and inscribed 'Presented to the Officers 5th Batt. Prince of Wales Own Yorkshire Regiment by Col. J.C.R. Husband V.D. on appointment to the Command 10th June 1908. Reproduction of the Colours Presented by H.M. King Edward VII Windsor June 19th 1909’; the whole within an embossed border of panther heads. Cedar lined interior. Hallmarked London 1909.

Lieutenant-Colonel John C.R. Husband (b.1858) was the Coroner at Ripon for half a century. He commanded the 1st Volunteer Battalion, The Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment); from August 1905.
