Nickel plated, brass and steel. Fully engineered scale model of a First World War Royal Navy Quick Firing 3-inch anti-aircraft gun, mounted on a rotating ebonised base, the gun with elevating barrel, and working breech loading mechanism.

Two quick-firing (QF) 3-inch (76 mm) 20 cwt Mk I guns formed the original anti-aircraft (AA) armament of the First World War Revenge-class battleships. This in the case of H.M.S. Royal Oak was upgraded during her 1922-24 refit to a pair of QF four-inch (102 mm) Mk V AA guns.
