Lyre shaped horns of a male lechwe antelope (kobus leche) mounted on an oak escutcheon applied with a plaque inscribed ‘Lichi / S. Africa’ and marked verso with the R.W. stamp of master taxidermist Rowland Ward whose premises at 167 Piccadilly, London were widely known as ‘The Jungle’.
