Unmarked silver model, on ebonied base, of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught (1850-1942) in Highland dress, and his wife Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia. Prince Arthur was the third and favourite son of Queen Victoria. He enjoyed a distinguished military career, commanding a division in the Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882 and rising to the rank of Field Marshal. He was Governor General of Canada during the First World War.
