Blue and white earthenware. Unmarked but probably made by the Bovey Pottery, Devon. Interior decorated with fouled anchors, rope twist and chain borders with Union floral sprays of the English rose, Scottish thistle, Irish shamrock. The exterior decorated with a ship-of-the-line under sail, compass rose and crossed ensigns, crowned Garter and ‘Mess’ ’10’.
