Yorkshire Dragoons - An Officer’s 1847 Pattern Helmet

The regiment was raised in 1794 in the West Riding of Yorkshire, and was originally designated the First or Southern Regiment, West Riding Yeomanry Cavalry. Later the same year the Victoria conferred the title of 'Queen's Own' on the regiment.
