Engraved St Helena award document to Major Jean-Nicolas Lorquet, together with bronze St Helena Medal. Framed and glazed.
Jean-Nicolas Lorquet was born Pierrevilliers in the Moselle Department. He was made a knight of the Legion d’Honneur in 1813, and a chevalier of the Order of St Louis in 1824. He was also a chevalier of the Spanish Order of St Ferdinand and was in receipt of an army pension. In July 1813 he was Capitaine Adjutant-Major of one of the three battalions of the 13e Regiment de Ligne, and was probably present at the battles of Hocheim, Hanau and Bautzen.
