Brass cylinder, wood hoops, leather tab and rope tensioning. Cylinder stamped with the Broad Arrow mark of the Ordnance Board, and maker’s details of 'Dallas / Made in England / 1958’. Emblazoned, probably by George Potter of Aldershot, with outspread parachute wings surmounted by the royal crest over a wreath of laurel. ‘Drum Fittings’ label of George Potter of Aldershot to the interior, visible through the cylinder breather hole. Complete with snares. The vertical rows of cylinder holes indicate this drum was converted from a rod tension drum to rope tension, as traditionally preferred for presentation purposes. Fitted circa 1960-70 with legs.
