William Craven Llewellyn (1892-1966) was a Welsh colliery magnate with interests in the timber and brick making businesses. He was a Government adviser and travelled extensively on behalf of the Board of Trade investigating timber regions in Central America, Central Europe and also Russia during the First World War. He was also active in agricultural pursuits, and in local Liberal Party affairs. He fought two Parliamentary elections as a Liberal candidate, Chester in 1923 and Crewe in 1929. He was president of the Swansea Chamber of Commerce in 1944-45 and was appointed High Sheriff for Brecknockshire in the same year. Among his other public activities he was president of the Swansea F.C.
