Measurements: 56cm (22in) x 56cm (22in)

Gilt and polychromed carved wood. Eight pointed star radiating from the St. Patrick cross superimposed with a shamrock bearing three crowns surrounded by a blue circle bearing the motto ‘Quis separabit’ (Who will separate) and the date of the Order's foundation in Roman numerals ‘MDCCLXXXIII’ (1783). The elongated rays of this star suggest a date of origin closer to the foundation of the order than not.
