Silver. The handle formed as medallion featuring a portrait head with boldly lettered inscribed name and dates to one side, and Churchill’s coat of arms to the other. Then blade inscribed by the designers, who were Churchill’s nephew, John Spencer-Churchill, and Garrard’s chief designer Alex Styles as part of the Crown Jeweller’s range of silver to mark the centenary of Churchill’s birth. Numbered to the blade 72/100. Designed by Maker’s mark of the Crown Jeweller Garrard & Co, of 112 Regent Street, London. Hallmarked 1974.
