Silver. Pounce or sand pot in the form of a miniature side drum applied with battle honours from Martinique to Lucknow, flanking the Garter motto ‘Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense’ (Evil on him who thinks ill of it), encircling the Hanoverian horse and motto ‘Nec Aspera Terrent’ (Difficulties be Damned), over the Egypt and Sphinx battle honour, ensigned by a crown and title scroll ‘The King’s’. The cylinder engraved, ‘Presented by Captain Henry Guise on promotion. 12.Ap.1886’.
