Silver. Of ovoid form with scalloped border engraved with the royal crest, regimental title scroll, officers’ facsimile signatures and date escutcheon; the first engraved 1750 , with the base worked with a figure of soldier of Semphill’s Regiment in relief; the second engraved 1917, with the base worked with a figure of soldier of the Great War in field service marching order. Maker’s mark of The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street, London. Hallmarked London 1918.
