With ash hoops painted with repeated XXII numerals of the 22nd Foot, fitted with rope tension system, drag ropes, and brass cylinder emblazoned with the crowned regimental title encircling ’22’, the whole within wreaths of oak and battle honour scrolls dating from Martinique 1762 to Normandy Landings 1944. The brass cylinder stamped with the Broad Arrow and ‘F. Matthews (DRS / Makers / Edgware / 1961’.
