Contained in their original blue leather gilt-tooled presentation case.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGroup Captain Gerald Pendred (1924-2006) was Station Commander RAF Cranwell when Prince Charles arrived in spring 1971 to embark on a five month flying course. Pendred was educated at Bedford School and Christ’s College, Cambridge. He joined the RAF in 1942 and apparently lost an eye while serving with 197 Squadron (Typhoons) in 1945.
