Drum Major’s Sash comprising bullion embroidered sun in splendour and winged dragon as derived from the armorial bearings of Elizabeth I, the regimental number ‘3’ and title scroll ‘The Buffs’, regimental motto scroll ‘Veteri Frondescit Honore' (Its Ancient Honour Flourishes), silver mounted ebonised sticks, silver shield hallmarked London 1891, bullion work crowned Tudor rose, rearing white horse of Kent and ‘Invicta’ (Unbeaten) motto, Dannenbrog Cross in recognition of the regiment’s historical links with Denmark, embroidered laurel and oak sprays overlaid with velvet battle on honour scrolls from Blenheim to Baghdad, over the white horse of Hanover and motto 'Nec Aspera Terrent’ (Difficulties be damned). Folded Length: 84cm (33in). Contained in glazed case.
