Embroidered silver bullion on worn dark green velvet over gilt metal. Cigar case bearing the regimental officer motto ‘Viret in Aeternum’ (May it flourish forever) over H /XIII to one side and the family crest and initial GJG for Lieutenant-Colonel George James Gilbert, 13th Hussars to the other.
