Comprising a khula-khud helmet, shield, tulwar and broad bladed African spear. The first with domed steel skull chiselled with a design of repeated symmetrical foliage between borders of the same, topped with central spike finial rising from a petalled central mount, adjustable nose guard terminating a palmette-shaped finial, two plume-holders, and hung with camail of riveted and solid rings. Height: 56cm (22in).
The shield of convex circular form, the outer surface embossed with a sun-in-splendour centered on four domed bosses, all against a ground of etched foliage inhabited by pairs of hares and framing four gold-damascened roundels, each framing two Persepolitan kneeling figures, the rim with applied brass border with ovoidal cartouches etched with Persian verses originally silver-damascened. Diameter: 49cm (19in).
The tulwar with curved single-edged blade, and characteristic steel hilt damascened with silver flowering foliage. Length: 93cm (36in).
The spear with large leaf-shaped blade and tapering tubular socket. Length: 161cm (63in).
