Copper and silver plate. Modelled as an alert hound standing on a naturalistic base. Lt-Col. WH Buckley MFH, of the Buckley Brewing family, was commissioned into the 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards from Radley in 1914. He was wounded during the Great War and secured a regular commission which took him to India in the 1920s. He had hounds shipped out to Mysore to found the Bangalore Hunt Club which rode out after jackals. In 1930 he left the army to oversee the family firm, to become a gentleman farmer at Castell Gorfod, Llangynin and to be master of the Carmarthenshire Foxhounds.
