Sewn cotton. A Captain’s (Company Commander’s) colour in the form of Union flag, emblazoned with ‘A Rose gules, seeded and barbed proper, within the Garter. One of the Devices forming the collar of the Order of the Garter’. Framed and glazed.

‘A red rose within the Garter’ is one of three Coldstream Guards company badges connected with the Order of the Garter that were granted in 1696.
