Gilt bronze. Officer’s burnished SBP of rectangular form applied with silver eight-pointed star, and overlaid with the battle honour scroll ‘Hindoostan’ over the Royal Bengal Tiger surmounting the regimental number in the British line XVII. Reverse with two hooks and two fastening studs.
