Side drum with painted wood hoops, rope tension system, and tack pattern fastened wood cylinder, eblazoned with the crowned GR cypher of George III encircled by the Garter motto ‘Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense’ (May he be shamed who thinks badly of it), and foul anchor.  The interior label, visible through the breather hole, inscribed ‘1776 / Rose-Morris & Company incorporating John Grey & Sons at the Gordon House manufactory in the City of London. Certified of good quality by Mike Connolly drummaker. Made in England. A reproduction model.’
