Silver. Each formed as a fusilier flaming grenade set upon an ebonised base, the grenade engraved with the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers badge. The bases applied with presentation plaques: the first inscribed, ‘Presented to the Officers Mess / June 1 1891 / By Lieut. F.C. Richmond-Parry’. Hallmarked London 1891; the second, ‘Presented to the Officers Mess / April 11 1892 / By 2nd Lieut. J.H.Griffin’. Hallmarked London 1892.
