0.75 inches calibre flintlock musket ball. Mounted with period manuscript note inscribed ‘'Musket ball picked up at Waterloo 22nd August 1822 picked up in the field by H B W'.

Major-General Henry Buckley Jenner Wynyard (1808-1899) was the son of the Rev Montagu John Wynyard, Chaplain to Queen Victoria and rector of Rounton, Yorkshire. He was formerly Lieutenant-Colonel Coldstream Guards. He was Brigade Major at York, Birmingham, Gibraltar and Town Major at Dublin. In 1861 he was appointed commandant of the Royal Hibrernian School, Dublin.
