The cylinder chased with regimental title scroll inscribed ‘1st Battalion Prince of Wales's Volunteers (South Lancashire)’ over the Prince of Wales’s feathers, Sphinx badge and regimental number ‘XL’, flanked by Battle Honours to the end of the First World War. Complete with miniature ebony drumsticks. Maker’s mark of Hawkes & Son. Hallmarked London, 1925.
