Glazed white bone china, raised on a glazed base. Sculpted and produced by Michael Sutty, Festival Park Studio, Stoke on Trent. Firing fault to left eye. 

Head and shoulders portrait bust of Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence, C.B., D.S.O. (1888-1935) depicted in Bedouin garb, as per his 27 Articles for beginners serving in the  Arab armies -‘If you wear Arab things, wear the best … Dress like a Sherif, if they agree to it. If you wear Arab things at all, go the whole way.’ (Arab Bulletin, 20 August 1917.
