A flaming grenade in white gold pavé-set with graduated round brilliant and eight-cut diamonds.
Sir Eric Penn, GCVO, served in the Grenadier Guards from 1938 to 1960. He won the Military Cross in Italy in 1944. He was Comptroller, Royal Household from 1964 to 1980. He married Prudence Stewart-Wilson in 1947. Lady Penn was latterly lady-in-waiting to The Queen Mother.
