9 carat yellow gold and enamelled springbok’s head couped squadron badge of the Second World War Lysander, Tomahawk, Mustang and Spitfire unit with King’s crown and motto scroll inscribed ‘N Wagter in die Lug’ (A guard in the sky). Maker’s mark of JWB for John William Barrett. Contained a Gieves of Bond Street case.
