The rod of Aesculapius with a serpent twined round it in platinum set respectively with rose cut diamonds and calibre cut green garnets, with head uppermost, within laurel wreath also in platinum set with diamonds, the whole between a platinum and 15 carat yellow gold King’s crown set with diamonds and enamel and the corps’ motto ‘In Arduis Fidelis’ (Faithful in Adversity) on motto scroll beneath.
