Silver photograph frame of rectangular form, the arch pediment applied with the arms in gold of the last ruling Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir, His Highness Sir Hari Singh. (Arms: A shield of sun symbolising the Maharajah’s Rajput lineage from Lord Surya, the Hindu Sun God, within a bordure with a garland of roses (Or) with supporters: in the form of two Guards of the Maharaja. Maker’s mark of John Henry Potter of Sheffield. Hallmarked Sheffield 1927. Aperture: 22cm (8.7in) x 14.8cm (5.8in). Wooden easel back. Glazed.
