Raised on a black marble stepped base. An exceptionally well detailed figure in pre-1936 Guard Order of finely chased Bearskin and Home Service Dress tunic adorned with Drummer’s epaulette wings and fronted with regimentally specific arrangement of fleur-de-lys decorated lace, contrasting with the burnished drum carriage slung from the right shoulder; the reverse detailed with squared-off greatcoat, Order of St Patrick Star valise badge, and rolled cape; the regimental side drum finely engraved with the royal coat of arms and First World War Battle Honours (Retreat from Mons, Marne, Aisne 1914 Ypres, Festubert, Loos, Somme 1916, 18, Cambrai 1917, Hazebrouck, Hindenburg Line) complete with drag ropes and attached striped ticken bag.
