Silver. Red morocco pouch with silver flap applied with the the KEO cypher, crossed lances and Prince of Wales feathers and regimental number ‘XI’. Maker’s marks to flap and slings of Joseph Jennens & Co, Birmingham. Hallmarked Birmingham 1908.

Probyn’s Horse underwent four changes of title during the years 1901 to 1906 successively becoming 11th (Prince of Wales's Own) Bengal Lancers; 1903 11th Prince of Wales's Own Lancers; 1904 11th Prince of Wales's Own Lancers (Probyn's Horse); 1906 11th King Edward's Own Lancers (Probyn's Horse)

Originally worn by cavalrymen as containers for carbine rifle ammunition, shoulder belt pouches assumed purely decorative usage in the mid 19th century.
