Paper knife in the form of a 17th century Scottish basket hilted broadsword, with wire bound grip and tapering fullered blade engraved ‘Andrria Farara’ (in acknowledgement the famed Italian bladesmith whose swords were highly esteemed in 16th and 17th century Scotland). Maker’s mark of J.W. Kirwan & Co, Birmingham. Hallmarked 1901.
