Overall: 38cm (15in) x 31cm (12.2in)
Photographic print. Full length image of Edward VII in Austrian hunting garb. Signed ‘Edward R&I / Marienbad 1908’. Contained in polished mahogany easel backed presentation frame applied at the top with silver ERVII cypher surmounted by the Imperial State crown.
Edward VII paid an official visit to Austria-Hungarian capital in 1903 shortly after his coronation. He was also of course a regular visitor to the Bohemian spa town of Marienbad where he surprised local nobility by raising his hat to off-duty servants and grand duchesses alike.
