Equestrian portrait of George III in field marshal’s uniform with Garter star and cocked hat, right hand raised gesturing towards the cavalry passing in review to the left, looking back towards the Duke of York and Generals Fawcett and Dundas, mounted behind him, with the Prince of Wales beside him, in light dragoon uniform, his sabre raised in his right hand, and his equerry Major Goldsworthy standing next to the king's horse, Adonis. Lettered with title and production details: 'Painted by Sir Wm. Beechy R.A. portrait painter to Her Majesty. / Engraved by Jas.
