Belém Tower or Tower of Saint Vincent was built in 16th-century in an amalgam of architectural styles that characterised Portuguese Manueline style. It served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. Canvas: 33cm (13in) x 43.5cm (17.2in).
